This school year Wood Dale School District 7 will be field testing the PARCC assessment in grades 3, 4, 6, and 8. Some, not all students, will be involved in the field test, which will take place March 24-April 11 and May 5-June 6. Classrooms were randomly chosen by the Illinois State Board of Education. We will not receive scores from the field test.
The primary purposes of the PARCC Field Test are to:
- Examine the quality of items so that PARCC can build assessment forms for the 2014-15 school year
- Pilot assessment administration procedures
- Give schools and districts the opportunity to experience the administration of PARCC assessments
Try out sample test questions on the technology platform that students will use when taking the field test later this spring.

Additional Sample Items on the PARCC website
To get a true understanding of the range of rigor, item types, and functionality, we suggest that you try test items in more than just one grade, as each grade level does not have all item types. The sample items will not be scored.
If you should have additional questions, please contact Dr. Merri Beth Kudrna or your building principal.
